About 225 medical workers are now furloughed at several locations in Holyoke.
The furloughs are the result of lost revenue because of the coronavirus pandemic. Valley Health Systems furloughed the workers at four medical centers.
They are furloughed without pay, however, they will receive their health care benefits.
A Holyoke Medical Center spokeswoman says the furlough situation will be reevaluated at the end of April.
