There are a handful of western Massachusetts towns in the top 25 for the rate of coronavirus infections.
The rankings released by the state Department of Public Health are based on a per capita breakdown and positive cases.
According to the data, Williamstown is ranked 4th statewide. Longmeadow is 7th, Holyoke is 11th and Agawam is 21st on the list.
In the case of Longmeadow, and Agawam they are communities in the Greater Springfield area that have had issues with the virus at nursing homes.
The Holyoke figures are not all that surprising since they reflect the cases coming out of the Holyoke Soldiers Home as well.
