The American Hotel and Lodging Association says the current hit on the hotel industry caused by covid19 is 9 times worse than what was experienced during the September 11th World Trade Center Attack.
The report says 70 percent of all hotel workers have been laid off and 2020 will be the worst year for occupancy on record.
The report says almost 4 million jobs in the industry have been lost.
Two point 4 billion dollars in weekly wages are lost because of the closings and restrictions caused by Covid19.
