Springfield Police are investigating the city’s tenth murder of the year and fifth in the month of June.
A woman died Saturday morning when she was shot and killed in the 200 block of Oakland Street.
Officials say that they received a Shot Spotter call right around 11 o’clock Friday night.
Officials have only said that the female victim died from injuries she sustained on Saturday morning.
Police have made no arrests and they have no motive yet.
