Flag Flap Pits Families Against Protocol

Governor Baker not only having to deal with a pandemic -- is also having a tussle with the families of victims of opioid overdose.

August 31st is Opioid Overdose Awareness Day. The Governor is expected to do the annual and traditional proclamation.

But the families want the Governor to lower the American and State Flags.

The Governor says protocol says he can’t.

The families say there is precedent because Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont did so last year.

Based on what the Governor said last week, it is highly unlikely that he would reconsider.
