Teachers Union VP: Needs Immense Despite No Increase In Funding

The Vice President of the Massachusetts Teachers Association says that while it is good state lawmakers did not cut education aid, school districts are not receiving increases in aid. Max Page says that means there are additional issues caused by the pandemic that will need to be addressed with current dollars already allocated.

Page says there are real gaps in funding for low income students and districts.

The school systems are basically being held harmless thanks to 400 million dollars in new aid.

That money goes to pandemic related expenses.

There are no specifics yet as to how much individual school districts are going to get.
