Hearing Delayed For Covid 19 Violations In Springfield

The Springfield License Commission has put off until October 14th complaints at Malecon Restaurant on Chestnut Street.

Some of the complaints allege there were large gatherings that date back to July which included people without masks and not social distancing.

A July 12th police report says there were 300 people at the facility at a parking lot that was set up on Winter Street.

The owners say they are prepared to deal with the issue in front of the commission and will comment further after they rule.
