It is a question that every parent has been asking and now a federal court judge has provided an answer.
Parents and college students asking about refunds because their kids are in remote learning rather than in-person classes because of the pandemic.
Federal Judge Richard Stearns has ruled in a class action suit brought by two Northeastern University students that the school in particular, and schools in general never “promised” in person classes and therefore was not required to provide rebates.
The judge says there was no contract that specifically talked about in person courses.
If that weren’t enough, the judge also ruled that the remote learning protocols were “adequate alternatives.”
