Multiple Boston news outlets are reporting a body has been exhumed in connection to the unsolved murder of Holly Piirainen, whose remains were found in Brimfield, Hampden County in 1993.
Piirainen, a ten-year-old girl from Grafton, was visiting family in Sturbridge when she disappeared in what investigators believe was an abduction.
WCVB-TV reports the body that was exhumed was of a man who was in a Hampden County cemetery who died four years after Holly's murder, according to sources.
The Hampden County DA has not commented about the reports.
