This weekend residents came together in West Springfield to show their continuing support for veterans in our nation.
Volunteers planted dozens of flags on the Town Common in a massive show of support.
The undertaking has been done for five straight years by the West Springfield Lions Club.Officials say it is not as massive as year’s past.It was done that way because of the pandemic.
Approximately 300 flags are on display.
Officials at the Lions Club are encouraging people between now and the end of November to take a few minutes to walk through the display as a reminder of all those that have come before them in order to keep us free.
