Police are identifying the suspect in the shooting of a Massachusetts State Police trooper in Hyannis last week.
Andre Sterling of Jamaica should be considered armed and dangerous.
Cape and Islands District Attorney Michael O'Keefe said yesterday Sterling was believed to have been in the Hyannis area for a few months, but he doesn't seem to spend much time in one place and he could have fled the state.
O'Keefe said Sterling has been associated with places in Florida and the West Coast.
Sterling faces charges included armed assault with intent to murder for the shooting of Trooper John Lennon.
The DA says that Sterling should be considered armed and dangerous. He has ties to LA but officials say they do not know where he is.
