House Speaker Robert DeLeo is denying a report that he'll step down to take a job at Northeastern University.
In a statement, his office says DeLeo has not been in contact with Northeastern.
The Winthrop Democrat has been the speaker of the house for 12 years, the longest in state history.
Boston.com reports there has been no comment from university officials.
