For the second time in two weeks, over 100 coronavirus deaths have been reported by the state in a single day.
The Department of Public Health yesterday confirmed 105 new virus deaths, along with over 31 hundred new positive tests.
The number of people in Massachusetts hospitals with coronavirus climbed by 29 yesterday, and is well over 22 hundred.
Officials estimate that over 79 thousand people currently have active coronavirus cases in Massachusetts.
Meantime, there are 21 Western Mass communities that are on the state's Red Zone map for high risk community.
Those include Springfield, Agawam, Chicopee, Holyoke and West Springfield.
Springfield has recorded more than 17 hundred cases in the last two week reporting period.
