Major Storm To Batter Region

All of Western Massachusetts is under a Winter Storm Warning from the National Weather Service on Monday. Hampden, Hampshire and Franklin counties could see up to 15 inches of snow. Berkshire County could see up to 16 inches. The weather service says the nor'easter that will move over the region today will bring gusty winds.

Eversource is ready to respond to potential power outages. They are advising that if you see downed power lines to call police or Eversource but don't go near the wires.

Connecticut has banned tandem trailers this morning.

Massachusetts has asked Non Emergency Executive Branch workers to stay home today.

The mass COVID-19 vaccination site at the Eastfield Mall in the city of Springfield is staying open today despite the snowstorm.

Officials say they will add hours the end of the week to take care of demand for testing.
