Massachusetts will move to the Phase 4, Step 2, of its economic re-opening plan soon. On May 10th, venues like Fenway Park and TD Garden will be allowed to increase capacity from 12 percent to 25 percent.
Amusement, theme and water parks can operate at half capacity. Based on data at the time, gathering limits will increase for indoor and outdoor events on May 29th.
Meantime, starting Friday, face masks in public places outdoors will only be required when social distancing is not possible.
Wearing face coverings indoors will still be required at all times.
The three-hundred-dollar fine for face mask violations is also being eliminated.
