Amtrak's Vermonter train is offering service in the Pioneer Valley once again.
A rail-travel advocacy group held a celebration on Monday at the Northampton train station.
Amtrak suspended the service in Massachusetts and Vermont due to pandemic travel restrictions.
The train was only running from Washington, DC to New Haven, Connecticut. Besides Northampton, the Vermonter also stops in Springfield, Holyoke, and Greenfield.
