Northampton Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at the corner of Woodlawn Avenue and Elm Street.
Police say a resident was riding a bike in that area about 4 pm Wednesday afternoon when the bicyclist was struck by a car driven by a 23 year old driver from Haydenville.
That driver did stay at the scene. Police are not identifying the victim other than to say it was a 69 year old Northampton man.
No charges have been filed.
