The Massachusetts Attorney General's Office says it has secured a settlement for students of a school in Pittsfield.
The state alleged the Mildred Elley School violated regulations covering for-profit and occupational schools by using high-pressure enrollment tactics and failing to make certain disclosures to prospective students.
As part of the settlement, the school is paying out over a half-million dollars to students and discharging about the same amount in student debts.
Mildred Elley also has campuses in New York City and Albany.
