Mayor Tells School Sports Team To Take Time Out

Springfield Mayor Dom Sarno is warning that unless more people get vaccinated and tested for the coronavirus---that there could be mandates installed soon.

The Mayor says he is stunned by the dramatic increases in the number of coronavirus cases in the city...nearly a thousand in the last week or so.

It has prompted a pause in high school sports for the time being.

It has also had an effect on the way kids get to school. Bus drivers - who are part of contact tracing being forced to stay home---that means fewer drivers and that means longer waits for a school bus throughout the city. Parents not happy with that because they say that until they get their kids off to school---they can't go to work.

Expect delays again today.
