The Hampden County District Attorney is reviewing body camera footage after an "officer involved shooting" overnight.
Details remain sketchy. But it appears that the officer was injured at the beginning of the incident which happened at Court Square.
That is when the suspect ran toward the MGM Casino parking garage...and that is where the suspect was shot.
The officer is going to be ok.
The suspect is being treated for serious injuries.
This is the second officer involved shooting this month in Springfield.
The Police Commissioner, Mayor and DA have not commented yet on the matter.
