Massachusetts Congressman Jim McGovern recently spoke to the U.S. Secretary of Veterans Affairs about the possible closure of the V.A. Medical Center in Northampton.
According to McGovern, Secretary Dennis McDonough acknowledged that the recommendation was made based on incomplete data.
McGovern told him the V.A. did not consider significant renovations at the campus over the last few years.
McDonough said his department will make sure the data is whole before a final decision is made.
