The Springfield Thunderbirds are moving closer and closer to the Calder Cup Finals.
Sparked by Will Bitten's hat trick, the Tbirds beat Laval Wednesday night 6-3 to take a 2 games to one series lead in the best of seven.
Laval got the scoring started at Place Bell with a goal from Rafael Harvey-Pinard which beat Joel Hofer nearly 6 minutes into the first period.
Nathan Todd tied it up before Will Bitten took the rest of the games into his hands.
Bitten with goals at 17:39 of the second period.
Then three straight in the third at the :35 mark. Then 5:59 and 17:02 of third. His last goal was unassisted.
Bitten becomes just the second Thunderbird ever to score four goals in a game and the first to ever do it in the postseason.
