Danick Martel scored twice and the Laval Rocket staved off elimination by beating the Springfield Thunderbirds in game six of the Calder Cup Semi Final round 1.
That will set up a dramatic game seven for the right to go to the Calder Cup finals on Wednesday night in Springfield.
Martel opened up the scoring in the second period with his eighth goal of the playoffs scoring at 4:58 of the period.
He scored again in the third period.
Game 7 will be in Springfield on Wednesday night at 7.
The winner will play for the Calder Cup against either Chicago or Stockton.
A winner could be decided tonight in that series.
Chicago leads it 3 games to 2.
