In Chicopee - they made history last night when the city's first ever female captain, Holly Cote.
She was sworn in at a ceremony last night at Chicopee Comp.
Among other things the Captain has served as the program director for the Chicopee Police Youth Academy.
Mayor John Vieau says joining her in being promoted were Patrick Hurst & Eric Laflamme to Lieutenant and Joseph Conroy, Matthew Post & Matthew Muldoon to Sergeant.
