Voters May Decide Drivers License Law Repeal

The effort continues to repeal a new law allowing illegal immigrants to obtain state driver's licenses and now it appears to have enough support to be on the ballot in November.

Opponents of the law say over 100 thousand signatures have been collected in support of a ballot measure to remove the law.

The law was passed by the legislature and vetoed by Governor Charlie Baker, but lawmakers were able to override the veto.

The campaign needs to collect over 40 thousand signatures of verified registered voters to get the question on the ballot.
