Springfield License Commissioners want a formal probe into a brawl that started inside the Le Souk Hookah Lounge and spilled outside.
The alleged incident happened at about 9PM on September 3.
Police say there were dozens of shots that were fired and no one seriously hurt.
Commissioners say it is a miracle that there were no fatalities.
They say the incident creates a bad issue for the Worthington Street area which the city has been promoting as an entertainment destination for years.
Commissioners say that had police been called sooner- it might have been a quieter resolution to the events of that night.
A formal hearing is being scheduled.
