Several arrests have been made for murders committed in Springfield.
Police say Luis Santiago and Xavier Rivera were picked up for a fatal shooting last weekend at a residence on Lionel Benoit Road.
The victim, a 17-year-old, has not been identified so far. Authorities have also arrested Edgardo Vazquez for the August 6th shooting of Emmanuel Garcia near the intersection of Union and Hancock Streets.
There have now been twenty-seven homicides reported in Springfield this year.
