Three Springfield officers were involved in a Tuesday night incident.
A suspect identified as Daniel Walker allegedly crashed a stolen vehicle into a police cruiser at the intersection of Morris and Central streets.
Those officers were still able to rescue a juvenile inside the stolen car which had caught fire.
Springfield police superintendent Cheryl Clapprood said everyone avoided serious injuries.
Walker is being charged with assault and battery.
