School District Ready For Post Holiday Spikes In Flu- Virus

Springfield's public school district is prepared to meet any potential increases in cases of coronavirus.

Spokesperson Azell Cavaan says there have been no unusual changes in the number of COVID-19 cases so far.

Following the holiday season, students and staff are being advised to maintain good hygiene to avoid spreading germs, including regular hand washing.

In addition, if they feel unwell to wear a mask and stay home.

The precautions come as Baystate Health reinstituted a mask mandate.
