The first winter storm of the season has passed through Western Massachusetts and left in its wake significant snowfall.
Hampden County was among the hardest hit, as Westfield recorded 14 inches of snow; Tolland reported 13 inches,
Chicopee 11 inches, and Holyoke and Granville more than 10 inches a piece.
In Hampshire County, Easthampton had 11 inches, while South Hadley had 10 and one-half inches, while Leverett in Franklin County had five inches.
Most communities have some kind of a winter parking ban in place for today. There are also a number of delays for schools throughout Western Mass and Northern Connecticut.
