At least six people have been arrested in connection with a drug trafficking ring that operated in Western Massachusetts.
Last Tuesday, authorities arrested 24-year-old Josiah Cheeseboro of Springfield on drug and weapons charges; he has pleaded not guilty and is being held on 100-thosuand dollar cash bail.
Since then, four men plus one juvenile have been taken into custody on trafficking, drug and firearms possession, and conspiracy counts.
The group is alleged to have been involved in the movement and distribution of substantial amounts of fentanyl and cocaine in Franklin and Worcester Counties.
