A new report released by the Board of Police Commissioners says 62 complaints were filed against Springfield officers in 2023.
The board was established in 2022, charged with disciplinary oversight of the department's officers and employees.
The board found 27 cases resulted in retraining and written reprimands.
Of the others, which were elevated to internal investigations, only five went before the board for a hearing.
One officer was terminated, with the others placed on suspensions of varied length without pay.
