Celtics Beat The Heat To Move To Second Round Of NBA Playoffs

The Celtics became the first team in the East to advance to the second round of the NBA playoffs after blowing out the Heat 118-84 in Game Five at TD Garden.

Derrick White and Jaylen Brown tied for a game-high in scoring with 25 points apiece.

Jayson Tatum chipped in with a double-double after scoring 16 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.

Sam Hauser recorded 17 points off the bench.

Bam Adebayo led Miami in scoring with 23 points and dished out a team-high six assists.

Boston will now face the winner of the Cavaliers-Magic series.

Cleveland is leading 3-2.

The game was also the last play by play appearance for legendary television broadcaster Mike Gorman who thanked Celtics fans and management for taking him into their homes for so many years.
