Governor Maura Healey and Boston Mayor Michelle Wu spent over 50-thousand-dollars combined in taxpayer funds on their trip to Italy last month.
The trips were paid for with taxpayer money because it was planned as a way to promote the city and state efforts to fight climate change.
Healey's office spent around 30-thousand-dollars, with Wu spending 21-thousand-dollars on the trip.
