Mayor Domenic Sarno's Chief of Staff was among those attending the Enlite Cannabis Dispensary's grand opening on Tuesday. William Baker was joined by State Representative Orlando Ramos, City Councilor Zaida Govan, and members of the Indian Orchard Neighborhood Council.
The Main Street location is the first Springfield location for the dispensary which opened its first Massachusetts store in 2021.
Owner Matt Yee says ,"Enlite is thrilled to be the first Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Social Equity applicant to launch two cannabis dispensaries in Western Massachusetts. We're proud to spearhead efforts to foster diversity and inclusion within the industry. Our Indian Orchard location is the result of three years of dedicated effort!"
In a statement, Mayor Sarno congratulates the business ownership group on the grand opening and its belief, support, and investment in Springfield.
