Since it is a federal and state holiday, all federal and state offices are closed today.
There is no mail or bank business.
The stores are open.
City Governments, schools and libraries are closed today as well.
Juneteenth was made a Massachusetts Holiday in 2020 by then Governor Charlie Baker.
The day commemorates the day the last group of enslaved people were notified that slavery had been abolished.
