Hot Weather May Be Longer Than Expected

If you think it's hot in western Massachusetts now, wait until next month.

That's the word from weather officials, who say July is likely to be warmer than last year which experts say was the hottest summer in the Northern Hemisphere over the past two thousand years, this as last week's average high-temperature high 91 degrees compared to the normal high of 80.

To add insult to injury, experts say the entire Northeast is forecast to head into a La Niña pattern by late summer.

La Nina reportedly forms in the region sometime in July or August.
