More Massachusetts State Police troopers are being assigned to what is described as "highly trafficked" areas statewide.
The deployment is in response to the attempted assassination Saturday of former President Trump.
State Police are monitoring the situation but, in a statement, said there is no known connection or direct threat to Massachusetts.
As always, anyone who sees any suspicious behavior or activity is urged to contact the State Police Fusion Center.
