First Measles Case In Four Years Reported

State public health officials are confirming that a Worcester County resident has tested positive for measles.

The unidentified adult recently traveled internationally, and is the first state resident to test positive for measles since 2020.

There have been over 150 measles cases in the U.S. so far this year, and 84 percent of those people were not vaccinated.

Anyone unsure about their measles vaccination status is advised to discuss it with their doctor.
