Some West Springfield communities are under a do-not-use drinking water order.
Town officials say the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection has issued the warning for people around Heywood, Cold Spring, and Memorial avenues, as well as Colony Road and Lowell Street.
Public works officials are currently investigating the issue. In the meantime, residents who are in need of drinking water can contact the West Springfield Fire Department.
