National Grid Seeks More State Money For Energy Programs

National Grid needs more money to keep its energy-savings program going.

The program is meant to help low-income residents cover their utility bills.

It's temporarily halted due to a lack of funds.

The utility company is asking for 135-million dollars to keep the program running through the end of the year.

State energy leaders will meet today to discuss the request.
