Red Sox Outfielder Jarren Duran Suspended For Anti-Gay Slur

Boston Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran is being suspended for two games by the MLB after he said an anti-gay slur to a fan on Sunday.

In the sixth inning of the game against the Houston Astros, with the Sox down 10-0,

Duran was up to bat when a fan heckled him.

Duran reportedly told the fan to "shut up" and directed the slur at him.

In a statement, the Red Sox said they'll donate the salary from Duran's suspension to the Federation of Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays.

Duran apologized after the game, saying he feels "awful knowing how many people (he) offended and disappointed."
