Boston Red Sox pitching legend Luis Tiant is dead at the age of 83.
He won 122 games during eight years with the Sox in the 1970s and led Boston to the World Series in 1975.
He posted an overall record of 229-172 during his 19-year Major League career.
He also played with the Yankees, the Twins, Pirates and Angels.
Tiant reportedly had several health issues in recent years.
