State Auditor Diana DiZoglio has issued her audit on the legislature, calling it one of the least transparent bodies in the country.
DiZoglio says lawmakers have ignored her requests for information as she sought to gather data for the audit.
She says the legislature routinely breaks its own rules, and fails to provide members with important information needed to decide on bills.
The report was released as voters prepare to decide an Election Day ballot question that would give her office more power to investigate the legislature.
