A Franklin County town is moving forward with what is being called a "generational" nicotine ban.
Health officials in Belchertown have approved a proposal to prohibit the sale of tobacco and vape products to anyone born after 2003.
The ban comes after a similar measure passed in Brookline was upheld by the Massachusetts Supreme Court.
The Belchertown Board of Health also voted yesterday to require that local businesses remove nicotine pouches from their shelves.
