Peter Pan Bus Lines Sued For Junk Fees

Springfield-based Peter Pan Bus Lines is being sued over so-called junk fees.

A couple of customers have filed a lawsuit against the bus company, alleging an eleven-dollar ticket from New York City to Philadelphia ended up costing them 22-dollars due to what they call "deceptive and unfairly disclosed junk fees."

The proposed class action suit says hiding the fees until the very last step of the purchasing process tricks customers into thinking they're getting a better deal, adding that the fees are easy to miss.

There's been no comment from Peter Pan, which is one of the nation's largest private bus companies.
