Flu cases are reportedly spiking rapidly statewide in Massachusetts.
The CDC considered the rate high in the state for the weeks of January 12th and January 18th.
The chief of Emergency Medicine at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield is urging people to get a flu shot.
Medical officials from across the state warned the flu is hitting hard and making people really sick.
