Western Massachusetts Congressmen say they were shocked by the tense meeting between President Trump and Ukrainian President Zelensky last Friday.
Democrat Richard Neal of Springfield says Americans should be stunned that a U.S. president would take a pro-Russian side against an ally and NATO.
Representative Jim McGovern, also a Democrat, said the meeting embarrassed the nation on a world stage.
McGovern added that the U.S "appears to be on the side of Putin, and not on the side of democracy."
