Attorney General Andrea Campbell announced today regulations will soon protect Massachusetts consumers from so-called junk fees.
Those are the hidden, unnecessary fees that add to the advertised cost of products.
Starting in September, new regulations will require businesses to clearly state the total price of a product including mandatory charges or fees.
Campbell said the new regulations will help ensure consumers know exactly how much and what they are paying for.
