March Declared Massachusetts Maple Month

March is being declared Massachusetts Maple Month.

Governor Maura Healey made the declaration Friday while visiting a farm in Warren.

The governor encouraged residents to buy local syrup, calling it an investment into the future of sustainable farming in the commonwealth.

Massachusetts produces more than 70-thousand-gallons of maple each year.
